STYRIAN SOUNDS FESTIVAL
The STYRIAN SOUNDS FESTIVAL presents Styrian pop music “live on stage”, visual arts, DJ culture and workshops by and for the local scene from 10 to 12 April 2025!
STYRIAN SOUNDS is a festival for artists and audience: 3 days, numerous artists, workshops, radio features and visual arts – and one affordable ticket gets you into all the events!
The 3-day event offers a comprehensive showcase of regional pop-cultural creativity in Styria. The countless successes of recent years, from Effi to Anna F., Mr.Dero & Klumzy Tung, Marina Zettl, The Sado Maso Guitar Club, Thomas David, The Uptown Monotones, Farewell Dear Ghost, Naxxos or Neodisco, show that the Styrian music scene is among the most creative in Austria.

An annual local “coming together” in the focused form of a festival is highly relevant for drawing attention to pop-culture artists and is at the same time a driving force for the development of the entire local music scene.
PROGRAMME
STYRIAN SOUNDS presents the widest range of pop-cultural genres, styles and trends developing in Styria. The STYRIAN SOUNDS FESTIVAL also features Styrian artists who have their roots here but are currently producing and working abroad with new collectives. This link to the “outside” significantly supports the idea behind STYRIAN SOUNDS and opens up new perspectives for local newcomers.

IDEA AND BACKGROUND
The (pop) music scene in Styria and its capital Graz has seen an enormous boom in recent years. STYRIAN SOUNDS feels committed to helping ensure continuity: today the regional scene has no need to fear international comparison, quite the opposite! All the more essential, then, to bring local music-making to the regional and broader public on a grand stage.
The festival sees itself as a platform that promotes further networking, takes innovation to the next level and, last but not least, makes new audiences curious.
The potential of STYRIAN SOUNDS is immense: there are several hundred bands, DJs and VJs in Styria. Among them are many with the talent for an international career. They could, and should, take the first steps towards professionalisation in Styria.
