Is the recording studio a “retro crypt” for ageing music producers, or still the technical and creative hub of modern audio production?
Have room acoustics and high-end technical equipment become a kind of hobby for “gearheads”, or are they still the foundation of a music production that meets international standards?
What conditions must the recording studio of today (and tomorrow) meet in order to remain an established fixture in the music industry?
Andreas Fabianek (The Fab Productions), Kurt Strohmeier (Musicgarden), Tom Zwanzger (S.T.R.E.S.S.-Studio) and Viktor Beck (musician and producer) will get to the bottom of these and other questions at Music Camp 2015 at designforum Steiermark.

Styria as a pioneer of energy-efficient events
Energy efficiency is the key to a sustainable society and climate policy. As early as February, EE MUSIC Region Styria and its partners, Energie Steiermark and the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government, Department of Energy and Housing, are launching an initiative that aims to make event venues in Styria energy efficient.
Energy Efficient Music Culture Europe goes Styria
This project originated in the Europe-wide, EU co-funded project EE MUSIC: with over 60 trainings, workshops and events, EE MUSIC is the largest campaign on energy in the history of the European music event industry. By the end of 2015, workshops for venue operators and promoters, training for energy consultants and energy audits for several European clubs will have been offered in
27 countries.
First results in Styria and outlook for 2016
